I’m happy to share with you all the latest news and updates from SDI this week. The SDI Community is thriving and there are a lot of ways for you to connect and learn with other spiritual directors and companions.
This past week myself and Harry Pickens hosted a one-hour preview session for his upcoming webinar on cultivating joy as a spiritual companion. Participants loved it. I loved it. This past March we facilitated a deeply nourishing Forest Bathing Retreat, with friendships made and contemplative practices that changed us for the better. Thus, we’re so pleased to offer this retreat again in March 2024. We have a new video (click here) and podcast (here) to share from our Guides this week. Behind the scenes here, Lori Stanley, Nicholas Collura, and myself are putting the finishing touches on the list of Presenters and Schedule for the New Perspectives on Ignatian Spiritual Direction Course that starts July 18th. It’s going to be an outstanding and enriching 12-week series. As someone who works closely with Rev. SeiFu on a daily basis, I witness firsthand his deep commitment to InterFaith dialog, know much of his own fascinating journey of InterSpirituality (while being rooted in the Zen Buddhist tradition), and hear stories of his own personal relationships with many past InterSpiritual Luminaries.
In this new Course starting September 12, Rev. SeiFu and others will be on hand, drawing from the work of Huston Smith, Raimundo Panikkar, Bede Griffiths, Mirabai Starr, and more, in this experiential learning opportunity. Rev.
