In this issue, I reflect on a recent backpacking trip where I took Henri Nouwen’s The Inner Voice of Love with me, described on the back cover as his “secret journal” – written during a period of intense doubt, low self-esteem, anguish, and despair. He offers a wonderful definition of a spiritual companion that I unpack (no pun intended!). We hope you enjoy and are nourished by this offering!
Contempla es a free outreach publication from SDI that assists spiritual wayfarers in the search for everyday encounters with the Sacred. It is published in January, April, July, and October.
It includes short articles, poetry, and global resource announcements. It is read around the world by more than twenty thousand wayfarers, subscribers, and members of SDI.
