Keynote Presentation - Engage 2022
Would you like to reclaim the holiness that we can access not despite but rather through the fiery gate of grief and loss
Many of us keep a secret in our hearts: in the face of our deepest anguish, we have detected the presence of the numinous. Society does not support this relationship to grief. We are encouraged to stick to sadness. The more spiritually sophisticated among us are (rightfully) concerned about bypassing the messy and fruitful terrain of grief by reaching for some kind of transcendental space where we don’t have to feel our feelings.
In this gathering, Mirabai will support spiritual companions in discerning for yourselves and those you companion the authentic spiritual impulses at the heart of shattering loss.
Through teachings from the mystics of all spiritual traditions, contemplative practice, poetry and song, we will create a safe container for exploring the luminous center of our deepest dark nights.
What to Expect
- 3 rich, interactive sessions with prompts and insights from Mirabai, along with opportunities for questions and dialogue
- Face your deepest griefs and heartbreaks and learn how to elicit the presence of the divine within them
- Support your spiritual direction and companionship practice, and the discernment of those you companion
- Explore how mystics from all spiritual traditions learn to create a safe container to discern the light at the heart of our Dark Nights of the Soul
