This two-session pick-me-up is for any spiritual director or companion who could use some inspiration for their practice. We'll offer some advice, a little wisdom, and a lot of encouragement. We will talk about things like running a spiritual direction and companionship practice when you're feeling uninspired, how we care for our practice by caring for ourselves, hear from some other spiritual directors about how they sustain their practice.
In This Workshop, We Will:
- Develop your own Vow of Flourishing and Prosperity
- See with fresh eyes how our spiritual care participates in the flourishing of all beings.
- Celebrate the value our spiritual care provides, both to ourselves and to others.
- Look at our Elevator Pitches (how we talk about our practice at parties, or with new acquaintances), and give them some "punch."
- Offer some simple marketing tasks you can do in a day.
- How is your Find a Spiritual Companion profile holding up? Lets touch it up and make it work better for you.
- Remember that we need a "team" of spiritual care providers - the importance of working with a spiritual director (is that relationship still working for you?), a supervisor (someone who is a cheerleader for your work), and touch on other care professionals (therapists, counselors, religious/pastoral care, spiritual community).
- Hear from other spiritual directors, and be inspired by their experiences
- Work in Breakout Groups and meet other spiritual directors and companions
