“Our work, rather, is to help reawaken the sense of the sacred that is already deep in the human soul, our primordial relationship with nature, our ancient mother love of the earth. We can be part of its rising again.”
– John Philip Newell,
Sacred Earth, Sacred Soul
Advanced research by world-renowned scholars (Professors Dan Siegel, Gaia Vince, David Graeber, Amanda Podany, & John Philip Newell) reveals that ancient and indigenous spirituality can offer profound answers to today’s challenges, of particular relevance to Spiritual Directors and Companions.
For thousands of years, the Celtic tradition has celebrated:
- Equanimity between women and men, honoring women as great leaders and respecting personal sexual choices.
- Democratic communities where every voice is heard.
- Care for creation with effective strategies to address global warming.
- Authentic generosity, fostering communities where life is better for all.
- Dedication to children and future generations, ensuring their well-being and prosperity.
A letter written to the Celts (Galatians) profoundly impacted Martin Luther, sparking the Reformation and empowering the world. Sir Isaac Newton, dedicated to advancing civilization, found valuable insights in the ancient Celtic way of life, particularly in “Brehon Law,” ancient guidelines preserved by St. Patrick’s community. Newton even saw these principles as potential tools for achieving peace in the Middle East.
Join us on Thursday, Oct 31st, as we celebrate the “Celtic New Year” by nurturing the body, heart, mind, and soul. Discover how modern science and ancient spirituality can provide meaningful insights for you, as spiritual directors and companions, and those you serve, and even help heal broken relationships at home and in the world. Together, we will explore how Celtic wisdom can bring peace and prosperity to our lives and the world, offering a gateway to fostering global peace and understanding across different faith traditions.
