Conference Structure
The SDI Conference Comes in 3 Acts
Act I: April 20 begins with in-depth learning and optional “Institute” full and half-day sessions
Act II: April 21-24 This is the heart of the Renaissance experience – 4 days of keynotes, workshops and commmunity!Â
Act III: April 25 – This final session focuses contemplative practice with our amazing speakers, led by Rev. Seifu Anil Singh-Molares.
Recorded Conference/ Relaxed Conference
All keynote sessions – and most workshops – will be recorded and made available as educational resources for 3 months after the end of the conference. This changes everything. The rush to do everything disappears. Imagine being able to relax as you enjoy the conference, knowing that if you miss a session you can always catch up later. (Imagine not having to rush from place to place in a big hotel because you’ll be in the comfort of your own home!)
Â
Community
The recordings give each participant new freedom and flexibility to connect with other participants. Our conference app, Whova, is easy to use and works on home computers and cellphones, allowing participants to connect via text and video. The virtual “Coffee Shop” allows you to find and link up with others at the conference. And there will be additional gatherings, offering a chance to meet our SDI New Contemplatives, to convene around the topic of formation programs, and for Spiritual Companions of Color to come together.
Spiritual Companionship
Spiritual companionship will be available throughout the conference:
- with SDI Coordinating Council members who’ll be offering group sessionsÂ
- with seasoned spiritual companions who have volunteered to offer 1-on-1 sessions through our Whova conference app and
- by using our conference platform to receive or offer companionship.
