Profile: From congregational ministry to university chaplaincy, The Rev. Dr. Hope N. Luckie is familiar with the creative opportunities found in all kinds of ministries. An ordained elder in the United Methodist Church, Hope received her Doctor of Ministry in Ecumenism and Interreligious Dialogue from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington D.C. She also holds a certificate in Muslim-Christian Dialogue and Collaboration from the Washington Theological Consortium, and has a certificate is spiritual direction and formation from Boston College. Hope has a Master of Divinity degree from Boston University's School of Theology where she specialized in spiritual formation and direction and a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University where she was a research assistant in the study of reading processes in children. Hope’s joy is companioning others on spiritual journeys of life and formation. Especially drawn to walking with people who are focused on justice, equity and diversity issues. In these areas, Hope has assisted congregations and people through the discernment process of graceful transition and journeyed with others through the process of healing, envisioning and embracing a new identity and future. Hope is certified as an intentional interim minister and a certified spiritual director.
