Profile: My Aspiration is: To dwell in peace with Mystery, to walk with humility, to embody empathy and kindness in all my actions, toward to goal of harmony in all creation. Formally raised in the Roman Catholic, Christian tradition, with years of experience working in the Jewish community, and as a student of world religious and philosophical traditions, I know my own world view has shifted over the years, I bet yours has too. I find that what ails us is disconnection from ourselves, each other, and the natural world and I am actively working to restore relationship. As a spiritual director/companion I am going to respect you, and your world view, whatever that may look like. Fundamentally, we are all on a journey. Wherever you are today, is not where you will be tomorrow. The time we spend together, however short or long, will be transformative for both of us. Yes, I have the credentials; a Master's of Divinity 1992 from University of St. Mary of the Lake, Mundelein, IL, a Master's in Pastoral Counseling 2005 from Loyola University, Chicago, IL and a Doctor of Ministry 2014 from Chicago Theological Seminary, Chicago IL. Additionally I have a Graduate Certificate in Spiritual Direction 2000 from Aquinas Institute of Theology, St. Louis, Mo. and I'm a Fellow in Thanatology, Death Dying, and Bereavement from the Association of Death Education and Counseling, (ADEC). And yet I think more importantly, I bring into our relationship a nature-based, incarnational spirituality that inspires people of faith, uniquely and ever more deeply into a bond of accountability and hope. I meet with people virtually and in-person. I divide my time between Chicago, IL and Galena, IL where I also lead nature-based private directed retreats.
